June 8, 2026, Week 2: Radical Acceptance~ Meeting the Tension

Monday Salutation

Good morning, Roots to Rising Collective, When we resist our lives, our feelings, or our realities, that resistance doesn’t just stay in our minds—it gets trapped in our bodies. It shows up as clenched jaws, tight shoulders, and a racing heart. Today, we aren’t trying to positive-think our way out of discomfort. We are going to practice radically accepting the physical sensations we carry, giving them the space they need to finally move through us.

Monday Practice

The Scan (3 mins): Close your eyes. Bring your awareness to your body. Scan from your head down to your toes, looking for areas of tightness, heat, or restriction.

The Softening (4 mins): Once you locate an area of tension (maybe your chest or your stomach), zoom your focus into it. Instead of bracing against it, imagine breathing directly into that tightness. On the exhale, mentally say to the tension, “You are allowed to be here right now.” Visualize the edges of that physical discomfort softening, giving it permission to exist without judging it as “bad.”

Monday Writing Prompt

“Where in my body am I holding on the tightest today? If that tightness or physical discomfort had a voice, what truth is it trying to tell me that I’ve been avoiding?”

Monday Mantra

“I accept myself completely—flaws, mistakes, and all. I am doing the best I can with what I have, and that is more than enough.”
