Monday Salutation
Hey, Roots to Rising Collective family. Welcome to a brand-new week. Let’s start today by dropping the heavy armor of expectation. We often walk into Monday with a rigid script of how the week should go, how we should feel, or how much we should accomplish. Today, we are tearing up the script. Radical acceptance begins when we stop fighting reality and simply acknowledge it. Whatever mood, energy level, or circumstance you woke up with today—let’s meet it without a fight.
Monday Practice: The Breath of Allowance
The Settle: Find a comfortable seat. Close your eyes or lower your gaze. Feel the solid ground beneath your feet and your weight in your chair.
The Shift: Instead of trying to change your breathing or force a deep, peaceful breath, simply observe it exactly as it is right now. Is it shallow? Is it tight? Is it fast? For the next few minutes, every time you inhale, silently say to yourself, “It is what it is.” On every exhale, let go of the urge to fix it. Allow your body to breathe itself without your management.
