Monday Salutation Inner Chatter
During the weekly routine, individuals may notice their inner thoughts, regardless of whether they are welcome. Responding to these thoughts can be challenging and may influence productivity throughout the week, including Mondays. Recognizing and accepting internal dialogue without judgment can contribute to a sense of calm. The human brain processes numerous signals daily, and thoughts may occasionally be accompanied by feelings of anxiety or cause someone to feel momentarily stuck. Focusing on acknowledging thoughts as natural processes, rather than sources of harm, allows for a clearer perspective.
Monday Practice Organized Chatter
Use mindfulness by categorizing each thought—label it mentally or write down your thought as a list “this is sadness,” “this is excitement,” or another category. This technique helps shift your focus from reacting to thoughts to simply recognizing and organizing them.
Monday Writing prompt
“Where is my energy going when I listen to the chatter? How can I redirect that energy toward clarity or calm?”
Monday Mantra
“Thank you thoughts, I acknowledge your purpose and presence. While I know you’re here to protect me, it is not currently required” Use this as a counter to any negative inner chatter and adjust with context and tense.
