Monday Salutation

Awareness is where all intentional living begins. Research in mindfulness, particularly the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn, reminds us that awareness is cultivated through paying attention on purpose, without judgment. Before we choose how to move, we must first notice where we are.

Monday Practice

  • Sit quietly and take 5 slow breaths
  • Ask yourself: What am I feeling right now?
  • Name 3 emotions or sensations without trying to change them
  • Let them exist without resistance
