In a culture that equates busyness with worth, rest can feel like a radical act. But the most resilient systems—from nature to high-performing organizations—require a rhythm of activity and recovery. Today, we view rest not as a reward for finishing, but as a requirement for starting.

Monday Practice

• Find a comfortable seat and try Box Breathing: Inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4.

• Repeat 4 times.

• On the “empty” hold at the bottom of the breath, visualize a blank canvas.

• Allow yourself to exist in that “gap” without needing to fill it.
